About the laboratory Smart Grid Operation and Optimization Laboratory (SGOOL) led by Prof. Yonghua Song (FREng, FIEEE) was established in Department of Electrical Engineering, Tsinghua University, and College of Electrical Engineering, Zhejiang University, in 2009 and 2013 respectively, with a vision to facilitate the development of renewable energy and smart grid in China. Since then, SGOOL is committed to the research fields of power system operation and control, smart grid, renewable energy, electricity market, energy internet, etc., and has become an active research group with international reputation.
